Honest tailoring
Your experience already fits.
It just does not sound like it yet. NewJobBio retells what you have actually done in the language of the job posting. Nothing invented.
Free fit score first. Credits only when you decide to generate.
What stays free
- Unlimited fit scores
- Career interview to build a profile without a resume
- Live job search, URL fetch, and JD file upload
- Company & role research for a loaded job
Method
Use the job posting as the brief.
The sequence stays simple: build a truthful profile, load a real job, then decide whether the fit score earns a credit.
Build your real profile
Upload every resume you have — including old ones — or answer a short interview if you do not have a file. We merge what you give us into one master profile. Nothing is invented.
Load a real job
Search live openings, paste a description, paste a posting URL, or upload a PDF/DOCX of the JD. You get a free 0–100 fit score with plain-language reasoning before you spend a credit.
Generate only when it is worth it
One credit: a resume rewritten in the employer’s vocabulary from your real history, plus interview prep. Cover letter, company research, and fit scores stay free. Export PDF in the template you choose.
Honesty policy
Why the honesty is the feature
A fabricated resume gets you into interviews you cannot survive. It wastes the weeks you spent preparing and burns a referral you might have needed later. The reason this tool will not invent a certification is not squeamishness — it is that a resume you can defend line by line is the only kind worth sending.
So when a job asks for five years of something you have two years of, we say so, mark how badly it hurts, and help you lead with the adjacent thing you did do. Sometimes the honest answer is that this job is not worth applying to. That answer is free too.

FAQ
Questions people actually ask
Is it dishonest to use AI to write my resume?
It depends entirely on what the AI does. Inventing a certification you do not hold, or a metric you never measured, is dishonest and it will fall apart in the interview. Taking work you genuinely did and describing it in the words the employer uses is not dishonest — it is what a good career adviser has always done. NewJobBio only does the second. It never adds an employer, a date, a credential or a number that you did not give it.
What if my resume is ten years old, or I do not have one at all?
That is common and it is not a problem. Instead of uploading a file you can talk to an interviewer that asks about your jobs one question at a time and writes down what you say. It is free, it takes about ten minutes, and it produces the same profile an upload would. People who have been at one employer for years, changed trades, or worked hourly jobs that never needed a resume usually get a better result this way than from an old document.
How is this different from Jobscan, Teal or Rezi?
Those are mostly subscriptions — often about $20 to $50 a month, charged whether you apply to one job or thirty. NewJobBio sells credits: $9 for 3, $19 for 10, $39 for 30. Credits never expire and there is nothing to cancel. Checking whether a job is worth applying to is free and unlimited. You pay only when you generate a tailored resume. We also refuse to invent experience — many tools will happily pad a gap.
What is a fit score?
Paste a job description (or load one from search, a URL, or a file) and you get a 0 to 100 score with the reasoning behind it: each requirement marked as met, partly met, or not shown, with the specific job on your resume that proves it. Requirements you do not meet are named plainly, rated by how much they hurt, and paired with an honest way to talk about them. It is free every time, including when the honest answer is that the job is not worth your application.
Can I search for jobs inside the product?
Yes. You can search live openings, paste a job description, paste a posting URL, or upload a PDF/DOCX/TXT of the description. Once a job is loaded you can score fit for free, generate a tailored resume (1 credit), write a cover letter for free, and open company research for that role.
Will the resume get through an ATS?
Applicant tracking systems match the language in your resume against the language in the posting. The tailored version adopts the employer's exact terminology wherever it truthfully describes something you did, puts the skills they asked for first, and exports as a clean PDF with standard section headings. Multiple templates are available (including classic single-column for maximum ATS friendliness). What it will not do is stuff keywords for skills you do not have, because that gets you screened into an interview you cannot pass.
How should I handle a requirement I do not meet?
Name it, do not hide it. If a job wants five years and you have two, the honest move is to lead with the closest real experience you do have and let the employer weigh it. Every gap comes with specific advice on which of your actual jobs to lead with. Sometimes the advice is that this role is a stretch worth taking anyway, and sometimes it is that your time is better spent elsewhere.
What happens to my resume and personal data?
Uploaded files are converted to plain text and the original file is discarded — nothing is stored in file form or served back out. Your profile and generated resumes are stored in your own account, readable only by you, and you can delete any of it at any time. Your resume is never sold, shared, or used to train anything.
Do credits expire?
No. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel. Buy credits when you need them and use them whenever you like. Fit scores, career interview, company research, and cover letters do not spend credits. If a paid generation is not useful, email us and we refund it.
